MacroAir fans introduce a new technology of fans, the High Volume Low Speed technology (HVLS).
HVLS fans are large ceiling fans that move a High Volume of air at a Low Speed.
Advantages of High Volume:
- Longer blades create a wider column of air
- Wider columns of air travel farther
- Deep horizontal floor jets impact all adjacent areas
Advantages of Low Speed:
- Gentle air movement rather than disruptive wind
- Nearly silent operation
- Low velocity reduces the power required to drive the fan
Application of HVLS fans:
- Industrial buildings (Warehousing & Distribution, Manufacturing, etc.)
- Commercial buildings (Office, Retail, Restaurants, Fitness centers, etc.)
- Educational buildings
- Gathering Places
Green Features
- HVLS fans improve the thermal comfort of occupants by increasing air movement
- The cooling effect from the use of HVLS fans helps to increase the thermostat settings in air-conditioned spaces and save substantial amount of energy (3-5% of energy savings per degree when the set point is increased)
- Efficiency (volume of air displaced per watt of energy) of HVLS fans is much higher than efficiency of traditional fans
- HVLS fans also can help to mix fresh air in occupied areas and make it available in the breathing zone.
Compliance & Certifications
- MacroAir HVLS fans are UL listed. UL (Underwriters Laboratories) is an independent product safety testing organization that tests products against high safety standards.
