How to get listed on the Green Database?
 
Individuals or organizations interested in registering and certifying products or services in the Green Database, please contact VGBC via email at [email protected] 
 
 
Product certification process
 
  1. Upon receiving a request for product/service evaluation from an individual or organization, VGBC will conduct a study of the certification needs and provide     advice on certification. This consultation is free of charge.
  2. Once the product list and description are received, VGBC will send detailed requirements and instructions for the individual or organization to complete the     application.
  3. Upon receiving a complete application, VGBC will conduct a preliminary review to assess whether the application meets all necessary requirements.
  4. After confirming the quality of the application, VGBC will send the contract and payment request to the individual or organization as soon as possible.
  5. After receiving full payment from the partner, VGBC will carry out the certification within 3 weeks from the date of receiving payment.
  6. After 3 weeks, the individual or organization will receive the full certificate and product information links posted on the VGBC Green Database.
 
 
Product certification fee
 
The product certification fee is 1000 USD (VAT not included) for 1 product, valid for 2 years. After 2 years, the individual/Organization must pay a renewal fee of 250 USD per year for each renewed product.
 
 
Scope of assessment
 
LOTUS Certification for Building Materials evaluates the entire product life cycle according to ISO 14024, covering stages from A1 (extraction) to D (after end of life use).
Products with the same chemical integrity but differing in size and color can be combined to obtain one certificate.
 
 
Green building projects application
 
VGBC believes that green materials should be used for green buildings, so we have researched all current green building certifications on the market to create the most beneficial path for product manufacturers/suppliers.
LOTUS Certification for Building Materials can be applied to projects with LOTUS, GreenMark, EDGE, LEED, and WELL certifications
